A couple striped sections help blend the speckled colorways together for a seamless fade effect. The border features a fun jagged triangle pattern to frame the smooth shape. You can block the points of the shawl by soaking the shawl in water and stretching it with t-pins to exaggerate the large size. The pattern begins with an I-cord cast on followed by increases along each edge and a decrease in the middle of the fabric to form a chevron shape. The sideways construction produces and a beautiful flowing drape. The various stitch patterns overlap to create a colorful stitch collage when you wrap the shawl around your neck.
